In this work I combine 19th century daily life photographs with images found in the news and photos taken during trips to different aquariums. Each chosen image is already in itself a little story but overlapping them brings them under a new light, creating a different narrative. With this series, I wish to propose a projection into a future altered by climate change. What if we didn’t make an effort to change our trajectory? What if global warming got worse? If the arctic ice melted, the oceans rose and floods became unavoidable? How would it affect our lives? “Grocery shopping”, “Evening Commute” and “School of fish” for example, are three scenes of this possible future. With the current pandemic, we had to change our habits, we are wearing masks and are asked to keep our distance. What changes would we have to do to adapt to a liquid environment? I like to imagine the kind of life we would have, as I waver between wonders and worries.
