20 years ago, I didn’t speak english. My mother in law, Nancy, lent me her Harry Potter books, as reading is the best way to learn. It was an interesting literary choice from her part since J.K.Rowling made up a lot of new words for the world she was creating in her novels. But with these and the TV series “Friends” I eventually learned. This blog is, in a way, the continuity of this learning experience, it’s giving me the opportunity to get better at writing in english. Nancy past away 12 years ago, but I still have her books and, thanks to her, a special connexion to the world of Harry Potter. As he was discovering a world of magic, I was discovering the United State of America. Not a small task for Harry and I. Lots of surprising things along the way.
Harry Potter Studio tour
Recently I was in London, UK and I finally got the chance to visit the Warner Bros. Studio where you can see all the sets and props used for the Harry Potter movies. I took a million pictures, here’s some of my favorites.

The Forbidden Forest experience
I recently relocated to Westchester County in NY and I’m enjoying finding out the interesting things to do and see around. A friend of mine recommended the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest experience at the FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights and it was amazing. I thought it was going to be something like the Blaze Pumpkin Festival but with Christmas lights in the shape of Potter and friends. Instead it was an hour walk in a beautifully lighted forest with a few Harry Potter wood creatures, centaures, giants, nifflers, spiders and other. It was magical.
I hope you enjoyed the photos!
